New Island Coming Soon

There are a lot of rumors about a new island arriving soon on Poptropica. We just got Steamworks Island and the new mini-island for Great Pumpkin, but we’re already seeing lots of screenshots and information posted on the official Poptropica blog about the next island to come out. And there’s even a rumored name for it…

Cryptids Island

Ta-da! What do you think of the name? I guess Poptropica posted a very short promotion for it last week and you could see it on the homepage for a few hours. But then it strangely disappeared. But I think that’s for sure the official name of this new island.

If you don’t know, cryptids are mysterious legendary creatures that everyone has heard of but no one can prove that they exist. The Loch Ness monster is probably the most famous cryptid, but there are many others. It sounds like the object of this island will be to seek out a lot of cryptids to prove that they exist. That sounds so cool!

Poptropica Cheats for Great Pumpkin Island

Great Pumpkin Island, the special island for Halloween 2010 in Poptropica, has arrived for everyone to play. Paid members got first crack at the newest island on Poptropica, but everyone has been able to play since October 14.

Great Pumpkin Island in Poptropica — Snoopy, Woodstock and Me in Great Pumpkin Island

In Great Pumpkin Island, you help all the characters from the Peanuts comic strip on Halloween. That includes getting ready for the Halloween party, going trick or treating, and keeping Linus company in the pumpkin patch while he waits for the Great Pumpkin to arrive. This mini-quest is loaded with tons of different games to play. A lot of them are easy but some are extremely hard, like the rolling pumpkin game where you have to help Linus and Lucy get their pumpkin back to their house.

Great Pumpkin Island Coming Soon

If you have checked out the new Poptropica map lately then you know that there’s a new island coming out called Great Pumpkin Island. It will feature a lot of the Peanuts characters like Charlie Brown, Lucy and Linus. The story of the island will be based on the very famous Peanuts TV Special called It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. In this story, Linus misses Halloween because he waits outside in the pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin to arrive. It sounds like the story of the Poptropica island will be a lot like it.

If you go there now, you can see Linus, Charlie Brown, and Lucy standing around in the pumpkin patch. Click on them to talk to them and learn more about the upcoming quest. This will probably be a mini-quest. It’s marked as being “Easy” on the map, and it will probably work a lot like last year’s mini-quest for Halloween.

BTW, did you see that last year’s Halloween mini-quest now costs 350 credits in the Poptropica store? It was free up until just a short time ago. It’s still worth doing for all the amazing Halloween costumes you can get at the very end.

Poptropica Dinosaur Island

Have you been to the official Poptropica blog lately? The creators have started posting sneak peeks for the next island (the one that will come out after Steamworks Island). They started out by showing some pictures of some boring mansions but then things got really interesting when they showed an overhead view of a jeep on the ground. And next to the jeep are two footprints that really look like they are dinosaur tracks!

I don’t know for certain that the next island will be called Dinosaur Island but it would be really great if it was. Poptropica needs dinosaurs! Bring them on! Rawr!

How To Beat Poptropica Steamworks Island

Steamworks Island just came out for members today. It’s absolutely the best island they’ve ever done. It’s also really hard. I got stuck in a few different places and spent hours trying to solve some of the puzzles. I will post a complete guide on how to beat Steamworks Island this weekend when I have more time. Right now I’m just exhausted from playing it all day. Finally beat it though!

In the meantime check out PoptropicaSecrets.com’s guide to Steamworks. He already has 45 minutes of video up on YouTube that shows you how to do everything. It’s even got tips in the video for the hard parts. I don’t know how he gets those videos together so quickly. It’s pretty awesome and I used part of it to solve one of the really hard parts.

Steamworks Trailer is Here

The Poptropica blog has a new official trailer for Steamworks Island. It looks really amazing and if you watch the whole trailer closely you’ll see a lot of things that they haven’t revealed about the new island yet. I really like the machines and especially the monster plants.

We also get a sneak peek at the names of some of the buildings and places you’ll find in Steamworks Island. One of my favorites is called Sully’s Steam-Powered Paraphernalia. It sounds so cool and I bet you’ll find some great inventions and stuff in there.

Vampire Costumes in Poptropica

On Friday, the creators added four new costumes into the Poptropica store. They are all vampire movies and they definitely put them in there because of all the attention the new Twilight movie is getting. Of the four costumes that you can purchase in the store, three are for girls and only one is for boys (sorry guys!)

The costumes look very good and if you are a fan of the Twilight books and movies then you’ll really want to get them. Just like most Poptropica stuff from the store, each costume costs 75 credits unless you’re a Poptropica member/subscriber and then you can have them for free while you’re a member.

Steamworks Island

The newest island in Poptropica is going to be called Steamworks Island. They haven’t said when it will come out yet but it will probably be soon because we have seen a lot of sneak peeks already.

All week we’ve been showing you sneak peeks of the newest Poptropica island currently in development, and we’ve promised to reveal the island’s name.

Steam Something

The Poptropica Creators have been showing tiny sneak peeks of the newest island this week and they promise to reveal the name of the new island on Friday. In the meantime, a lot of people are taking good guesses at the island. CoderKid at the Poptropica Help Blog thinks it might be called Steamworks Island and PoptropicaSecrets.com says it might be named Steamship Island. Or it might end up being named something else. My vote is for Steampunk Island but I don’t think that’s what they’ll really call it. And it might not even have the word steam in the name, but all the machinery we’re seeing in the sneak peeks makes it a good fit. We’ll just have to wait until Friday for the official announcement.
