In Game Show Island, you are a lone hero out to save humanity from the rule of robots. Led by the supercomputer Holmes, the robots have amassed incredible wealth and prestige by winning game shows. Now humans do the bidding of robots, toiling in the factories and performing menial tasks. After you locate the inventor of Holmes, he provides you with a jet that will take you all over the planet, allowing you to compete on game shows and try to win them to restore confidence and hope to humans. It is a fun and challenging island, and there are plenty of cheats for Game Show Island to learn.
From your air balloon run to the left till you reach in the ROBO-Bling Botique Building, jump through the umbrellas to get to the building roof. You will find your first item in Game Show Island, the toolkit. Continue to the Factory area on the left.
Factory
Go inside the factory building, your goal here is to reach on the top by using the Crane as your flat form. You will find a machine that has up and down button. Press the up button to move the crane up and jump through it and to the next level. You will find a computer screen in this flat form, click it and it will show you that a door to the switch will open. Jump there through the crane and power on the power box using the toolbox that you found earlier. Loosen the each screws counter-clock wise. When it opens select the switch of the Robot Factory, this will power up the factory. Go down and talk to the factory worker, it will ask you to take one of the fans because it’s too hot. You will then receive an Electric Fan. Leave the factory and run to right.
Club Nouveau Riche
Find the Club Nouveau Riche building, when you try to enter the robot will scold you and tell you to fix the air condition inside. Now enter to the building, walk to right besides the robot seating in a purple bench, open your backpack and equip your electric fan. Than fan is actually for the robot and it will give you a Nickel as a payment. Nickel is the money they use in this island. Leave the building and go back to the factory area on the left till you find a man standing beside the factory, give him the Nickel coin he’ll give a Heat Vision Goggles as a reward. Return to the Club Nouveau Riche and use the goggles inside. It will detect people and it looks like there’s a vent shaft above that took people. Exit to the building to investigate.
Outside walk a little bit right and then use your electric fan and click it to your foot, it’s pretty strong that it can blow you above. When you get to the flat form use your toolkit to open an entrance, a man will show from below the air con. He’ll tell you that he doesn’t believe that you are a real human and you’re Holmes’ Henchman in a human disguise. He’ll run and tries to break all things that can avoid you from following him, let him do that. You goal is to go to the roof access entrance where he went. When you get to the entrance, use the Heat Vision Goggle and it will detect the combination open the door. Press 2041 and click ENTER.
Meeting Dr. Harold Langley
On the roof, you will have a little conversation with Dr. Harold Langley and he’ll show his upad. He was the inventor of the Holmes but it didn’t turn out to what he expects. He will ask you to save the future of the Poptropica people. You will need to be the game show champion to bring back their hope for brighter future and he’ll give you a Jet Remote Control.
Use it and a jet will arrive, jump on the jet and you will see your navigation. Your first destination is Istanbul.
Istanbul
Run to the right till you find a man wearing a hard helmet talk to him to begin your first minaret puzzle game. This is an easy puzzle game, if you are familiar with the Tower of Brahma or Lucas Tower puzzle which is an IQ test, where you need to transfer the tower pieces by pieces but you need to keep them in an ordered form. First click on the smallest piece and put it on 3rd empty pedestal then click on the 2nd smallest piece and put it on 4th empty pedestal, then click the 1st little piece and put it on top of the 2nd little piece on the 4th pedestal. Then click on the 3rd piece then put it on the 3rd now empty pedestal and then click the 1st piece and put it on top of the 4th piece on the 2nd pedestal. Now put the 2nd piece and 1st piece on top of the 3rd piece on the 3rd pedestal. Next you’ll transfer the 4th piece on the 4th pedestal. Now put the 1st piece on top of the 4th piece then the 2nd piece on the 2nd empty pedestal. Now the 3rd piece on top of 4th piece, then the 1st piece on the 2nd now empty pedestal then put the 2nd piece on top of the 3rd piece and the 1st piece on top. Once you complete the puzzle, the man will give you a “Scaredy Pants” Ticket for a game show.
Use the ticket and it will take to a Scaredy Pants game show, the game show has three challenges. First is the Darkness Dive, within 60 seconds you need to get the glow stick under the water on the bottom right corner. You will need to avoid the sea robots creatures. The next challenge is the Creeper Keepers- you need to grab on the creepy creatures-rats, spiders and snakes and put them on the bins with their sign or picture on it. The final challenge is the Tightrope Terror, you have 5 tries on this challenge. You have to cross the high wire with as few falls as possible. Use your cursor to move forward, but make sure to have a good balance. Just move your cursor on its opposite direction if you’re falling, example when it is lower right you move your cursor on upper left. When you win all these three challenges, you’ll become the winner of Scaredy Pants. You’ll then re-appear outside. Call your jet and proceed to your next game show.
Miami
Your next location will be in Miami, walk to the right and you will see Ventana and the game show host arguing. Talk to the host and he’ll ask you to bring back the prices or else there is no game show. The prices are the circle plate that Ventana will drop from the window. Your goal is to make these plates back to the host by positioning the flat forms straight to him. You have to tilt the awnings and make way for that plate to slide down on them through the middle where the robot host is waiting to catch them. When you make your way, push the plate to slide down the tilted awnings. Repeat the same process for the other two prizes and be more cautious because Ventana will drop these on the higher windows. When you successfully saved them all, the robot will invite you on his game show, Spin for Riches. He’ll give you a ticket which you can use to play the game. You have three rounds on this game. In each game you will be given three clues, just like on the famous Wheel of Fortune game, you need to solve the puzzle words. You take your spin and just click solve when you’re ready to answer the puzzle. Other players can steal a turn if you are not able to solve it quickly and may lose a turn as well. When you won, go back to your jet to proceed to your next destination.
Buenos Aires
Next is on the Buenos Aires, go to the left till you see a muscleman robot with a wheel as its legs. He wanted to get inside the gym but the clock is not working. Fix it by clicking on the wall behind you and it will show on screen. Then spin the rings till the cable will be one line to run the power supply and make the clock works. Click the first inner ring, then the outer ring and finally the middle ring. When you’re done the muscleman robot will get tired and ask you to replace him in the game show. Take the Kerplunk ticket from him. There are three courses in here and all of them are about obstacles challenges. The host will explain game rules for every course, you need to get over the obstacles and reach your destination which is the transporter. The player with the fastest time to get to the destination will win. When you won go back to your get and get prepared for the next destination.
Moscow
Moscow is the next destination, go to the right till you see a dizzy robot talk to him and help him recognize the code. Jump on the windows above you, your goal is to change the color of every window and turn the dial button. When you get the right color, the robot will tell you it’s correct. When you get all the correct colors and the signal, the helicopter will land on top and the robot will give you a Brainiacs Ticket. This game show is a question and answer portion where in you will pick a category and a question will appear with multiple choices. You need to get the highest score to win the game. When you won, proceed to the next game show.
Tokyo
In Tokyo, run to the right and talk to the one-eyed robot with red blinking light in front of Service Entrance sign, he’ll ask you to restore the electrical power. You will need to click on the circuits to make a path for the electricity to reach the starting point. When succeed you’ll receive a ticket for Mr. Yoshi’s Super Terrific Game Show. You have three tasks to complete and must amused Mr. Yoshi for every task to win the game. When won, go to your jet and go back to the main street for the final game show.
Main Street
When you arrived on Main Street, Holmes will call the attention of all robots to capture you. You will hear a whistle came from the hole near a tree, run to that hole. You’ll see Dr. Harold in the Holmes’ Inner Sanctum, this is the place where he commands all robots. Dr. Harold will give you a thumb drive. Go to the left and click on the big computer. A puzzle will appear it’s just a slide tile puzzle where you need to complete the picture of the circuit’s path. Once you solved the puzzle, you’ll see Holmes and his robot guard. Run to the left and click again the monitor and start solving the second slide tile puzzle. Once you solved the puzzle, a flap door will open. Go inside and solve the last puzzle. When you’re finished another flap door will open. Enter to that door and you’ll find Holmes on that room. Go near him and use the thumb drive, this will bring him back to normal. Dr. Harold will then appear to give you the Island medallion as a reward for saving the hope to the Poptropica people.
Demo Mode Walkthrough
Here is the video walkthrough for the demo. Remember that it’s the same as the version for members. It just ends when you finally track down the Inventor and hear his story. You don’t get to play any of the game shows in the demo mode.
