Twisted Thicket Island Info

Poptropica Twisted Thicket Island Logo

The next island coming to Poptropica will be called Twisted Thicket Island. The story behind the new island is that a quiet seaside village has been attacked by mysterious beings that live in a nearby forest. Your mission will be to enter the forest and confront these mysterious creatures. You’ll discover that inside the forest is a world of magic and mystery.

The island follows Norse Mythology and has a Scandinavian theme. Several sneak peek screenshots have been posted both on the official info page and in the Daily Pop section of Poptropica. Very little is known so far, but the island looks like it will be a lot of fun to play.

One thing we do know already is the list of the special members-only bonus items for the island. These are items that will be available in the Poptropica Store for paid members to have. They are the Lumberjerk costume, the Troll costume (with a special power that turns people to stone!) and the Dryad Follower.

In other news, Vampire’s Curse Island will be available for everyone to play this Thursday, March 22. Get ready! Members only have two more days to get the special members-only Vampire Count costume.

Twisted Thicket Announced

Oooh, this is big news. Even though Vampire’s Curse Island has yet to be available to everyone, the Creators have been hard at work on the next island and today they revealed the name:

Vampire’s Curse Island Soon

The 25th island in Poptropica will be called Vampire’s Curse Island. There have been a bunch of sneak peeks posted to the Daily Pop section of Poptropica that give some hints about what the island will be about. Obviously, it will involve vampires! And we can tell that werewolves will be a part of it too. And there’s something to do with a play at a theatre. But apart from those little clues, there’s not much that we really know for now.

Vampire Girl Outfit in PoptropicaAlso, remember that you can get into the Vampire Spirit if you have the vampire costumes from the Poptropica Store. There were three different girl costumes and one boy costume placed in the store about two years ago. And you can get the old-school style Dracula costume from the Ghoul party at the end of the Haunted House mini-mission.

What do you think Vampire’s Curse Island will be about?

SOS Island Arrives for Members

Last week, paid members got their first look at SOS Island. It’s one of the easiest and shortest islands on Poptropica. The story is that a luxury cruise for whale-watching has hit an iceberg and is sinking. You need to go on board and rescue the survivors, which are both passengers and crew. You find the survivors in a specific order and the ship sinks further into the water as you go.

Non-members can still access the island, but only play a very short demo. The full island will be available to everyone in a few weeks.

Paid members get an extra bonus: there’s a second short mini-quest you get when the main island is complete. In this mini-quest, you go underwater in a special diving suit and submarine to stop oil leaks that have sprung from the pipes of the sunken ship.

S.O.S Island Coming Soon

The Poptropica Creators announced another new island just before leaving on vacation. The new island will we called S.O.S. Island and it will take place on a whale-watching cruise ship that sinks in the North Atlantic ocean — kind of like the Titanic! Once the island is released, you will be able to get the walkthrough and tips here: Cheats for S.O.S. Island.

There’s not a lot of details about the new island available yet, but in the past month, the Creators have posted a number of screenshots and sketches into the Sneak Peeks section on Daily Pop.

Ghost Story Island for Members

Just before Christmas arrived this year, the Poptropica Creators dropped a fun present for members: Ghost Story Island came out and members can play it now. Non-members get a taste of the new island with a limited demo mode, where you can play the first part. In Ghost Story Island, you visit the small coastal town of Hemlock Harbor, which is populated in part by strange and spooky ghosts. Lots of ghost hunters have arrived in town to try and spot the ghosts, but the town Magistrate is trying to put a stop to that activity.

You’ll travel through a creepy cemetery, an old and possibly haunted house, a scary lighthouse, and even an old, abandoned prison as you try to unravel the mystery of the island. In the end, a whole story is revealed. You can get all the Cheats for Ghost Story Island on the walkthrough page.

Before the island was released, there was a special mini-game available called Spook Central. In this mini-game, you traveled throughout Poptropica to find several ghosts that had escaped.

Game Show Robot Costume

It’s here to celebrate tomorrow’s launch of Game Show Island. The new costume is a very slick robot outfit  with a few different parts, like a helmet, vest, belt and more. The helmet visor has a glowing red eye that moves back and forth. The antenna on the top glow green. There are a lot of different Poptropica robot costumes in the Store, but this one is the newest and the coolest one so far. Get ready to see lots of robots when Game Show Island launches tomorrow.

You’ll meet several celebrities on board including Thomas Edison, Mark Twain and even Harry Houdini, the famous magician and escape artist.

Someone on board has a devious plan to sabotage the entire fair and it’s up to you and your sleuthing powers to figure out whodunnit. This is a very fun and thrilling island quest with a lot of clues and surprises along the way. If you’re kind of stuck, be sure to check out the Mystery Train Island cheats page.

Money Ladder Cheats and Help

The special sneak peek for Game Show Island is a mini-game called Money Ladder. It’s a trivia game show that is a lot like the popular TV game show called Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. There are 12 questions in three rounds of four. Each question has four multiple choice answers and you need to guess the correct one to advance to the next question. If you get it wrong, you lose and the game is over.

There are three robot helpers that you can use to try and get the correct answer if you’re a little stuck. Each of the robots has a different personality and is good at answering certain types of questions. They are the professor, the starlet and the athlete. For example the starlet is good at helping with questions about music and TV shows and the athlete is good and helping with questions about sports.

If you answer all 12 questions correctly, you’ll win the million dollar prize, tons of prestige and honor, and also get three cool Poptropica items. They are:

  • Robot Costume
  • Binary Rain
  • Robot Dance
